For the fourth year in a row, the De’Vondre Campbell Family Youth Foundation, held its Adopt-A-Family program during the 2022 holiday season. Its largest initiative to date, his foundation adopted 25 families and donated more than $50,000 in gifts to each family. For his efforts, Campbell was named the Week 16 NFLPA Community MVP and became eligible for the 2023 Alan Page Community Award.
With Week 16 being a great week for Campbell off the field, it was equally as good on the field. In a 26-20 defeat of the Miami Dolphins, he recorded three tackles and an interception. Packers director of sports medicine/head athletic trainer Bryan Engel offered some insight as to why Campbell was selected this year’s recipient. “The Ed Block Courage Award honors those National Football League players who exemplify a commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage,” Engel said. “The honored recipient of this award is someone who symbolizes professionalism, great strength, dedication and is also a community role model. De’Vondre is the embodiment of those characteristics as a man, teammate and competitor, and he has a passion for giving back to the community.”
