After making six-straight Pro Bowls, Khalil Mack suffered the first serious injury of his career in 2021, a left toe injury that needed surgery. Then, in March 2022, he was acquired via trade by the Los Angeles Chargers. Mack worked tirelessly in rehab to continue playing at an elite level for the 2022 season.
In his first season with the Chargers, he was voted team captain and returned to his all-star play, totaling eight sacks, 50 tackles (33 solo), 12 tackles for loss, 12 quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and a pair of recoveries. Mack’s performance in 2022 resulted in his seventh Pro Bowl selection.
