Rodney was named a team captain after recovering from an ACL injury, as the veteran showed courage in his recovery. He also showed compassion as the first player ever to win the Ed Block Courage Award, NFLPA Alan Page Community Award and nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year in the same season.
