Tyson Alualu was selected by his teammates as the Pittsburgh Steelers Courage Award Recipient for 2022.
In the 2020 season, Alualu had one of the best seasons of his career, recording 38 tackles, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. His performance earned him a spot on the AFC Pro Bowl roster as a replacement player.
Off the field, Alualu is known for his philanthropic work including his involvement in various community initiatives in both Jacksonville and Pittsburgh. He has also been involved in efforts to support youth football programs in Hawaii, where he grew up.
