EARLY CAREER
Brian Robinson Jr , born in Tuscaloosa, he played his collegiate career at home at the University of Alabama. Although, he served as the backup behind NFL stars Najee Harris and Josh Jacobs to start his career. Once he received a lead back role his senior season in 2021, he impressed with 1,343 yards and 14 touchdowns.
NFL BEGINNINGS
Drafted in the 3rd round (98th overall) by the Washington Commanders in 2021, Robinson earned the starter spot through an impressive preseason performance. But on August 28th, 2022 Robinson Jr was shot in the knee and glute during an armed robbery involving two men after leaving a restaurant in Washington D.C. He would still go on to make his NFL debut in week 5 of the 2022 season, with a remarkable recovery to claim the starting role.

Brian Robinson Jr football career was started with overcoming constant adversity. He had to patiently wait for his opportunity in college behind highly touted players. His tragic shooting forced him to miss the beginning of his rookie season. Coming back so quickly proved his perseverance and determination. With such a amazing story, his teammates had a no-brainer decision to name him as their 2022 Ed Block Courage Award recipient. He is one of a select few players that have been selected for the award in their NFL season.
BRIGHT FUTURE
In Robinson Jr first year after overcoming that horrific gun shot wound, he would appear in 12 games where he started 9 and carried the ball 205 times for 797 yards and 2 touchdowns to go with 9 receptions for 60 yards and 1 touchdown. He was named the 2022 Inspiration of the year by Sports Illustrated. He looks to make a big impact for the Washington Commanders as a starter heading in to his second season.
