One of the NFL’s top deep threats in 2020, Jalen Guyton had his first career touchdown that season on the receiving end of Justin Herbert’s first career touchdown pass. Guyton continued to be one of Herbert’s preferred targets before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 3 of the 2022 season.
Guyton worked tirelessly in his rehab and conditioning to return to the Bolts in 2023 starting at wide receiver for Los Angeles on Monday Night Football. A week later — and 408 days since his injury — Guyton caught an 18-yard touchdown. He finished the game with four receptions for 41 yards and the score. In eight games played during the 2023 season, Guyton made three starts. He caught 10 passes for 89 yards and the touchdown. Six of his receptions helped move the chains and keep Chargers drives alive.
