Robert Spillane has been selected by his teammates as the Ed Block Courage Award winner for the Las Vegas Raiders. Spillane sets the standard and embodies what it means to be a Raider. From the very beginning of his time with the team, this player showed that he was hard-nosed and extremely tough, both physically and mentally. His passion for the game is apparent in everything that he does, and his love for his teammates is contagious. Even when faced with adversity through injury, he did not allow those setbacks to keep him off the field. He pushed through and found success despite any discomforts. He continued to be a primary contributor to the defense and was a mainstay and the heartbeat for the team. His toughness has never been in question, and he is a truly outstanding teammate and true team player.
